The Parish Pastoral Council and the three parish commissions serve as the advisory bodies to staff members. Commission members are appointed by the pastor.

Parish Pastoral Council
2022-23 Chair:  Vicky Rauch 937.474.2502
The Parish Pastoral Council is a consultative body consisting of people who represent the entire parish community. It forms a united body with the pastor in discerning how the parish can best carry out the mission of the Church. Working in a spirit of prayerful discernment, dialogue, and consensus building, the council assists the pastor in developing pastoral goals, deliberating on parish issues, and promoting spiritual growth and renewal in the parish. It works with the other existing groups in the parish, who also recommend specific policies and programs to the pastor. Four vacancies routinely open each year.
Education Commission
Current Point of Contact: Chrissy Walters (937) 256-1761
The Parish Education Commission is an advisory board for the three areas of education at St. Helen: St. Helen School, children's religious education, and adult faith formation. This commission acts as the voice of the community regarding educational issues and opportunities in the parish. All meetings are open to parish members. Members serve a three year term, renewable once.
Finance commission
Current Chair:   Angie Buechele   (937) 427-3629
The Finance Commission provides necessary analysis and planning with regard to the parish's budget and finances. The ultimate responsibility for policy, priority decisions, fundraising approval, and implementation rests not with the Finance Commission, but with the pastor in consultation with parish council.
Worship Commission
Current Chair: Mary Heider (937) 254-6233
The Worship Commission exists to instruct and guide the parish community in attaining the highest quality of worship. The commission follows the guidelines and documents of the Second Vatican Council, USCCB, and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
