Serving on a committee is a wonderful way to serve the parish. These groups often include regular opportunities for personal growth and learning. Committees are often the doers of the parish, bringing events and education to our members on a wide variety of topics.

Committees with Service to the Parish

Adult Faith/Evangelization
This vibrant group is responsible for creating and implementing programs to enliven the faith of the community. This ministry focuses on both nurturing the faith of parishioners and inviting others, both non-Catholic and inactive Catholics, into relationship with Jesus Christ through the Catholic Church.
Recent programs and initiatives of this group have included Advent by Candlelight, the women's and men's Lenten Soup Suppers, small faith communities, neighborhood door-to-door ministry, and supporting a number of other ministries. Meetings are typically held the first Monday of the month from 6:30-8:30pm. Contact: Sue Sack 254-6233 x313
Altar Rosary Society
This society is a group of women who join together to support the parish and school (for non-budgeted items) and each other through meetings and events. Funds are raised for these projects through the sale of Entertainment Books, and other programs throughout the year. ARS also provides hospitality and support for many of our social events, as well as flowers to homebound parishioners at Christmas and Easter. All women are automatically members through membership in the parish. Contact: Dolora Michel 426.3360
Boosters
St. Helen Boosters promote recreational activities of the parish according to Catholic Christian standards. Boosters is not limited to sports functions, and includes additional programs like scouting. Monthly meetings are held to plan and budget activities. These occur on the third Thursday at 7:00pm. Contact: Steve Massingill 706.581.2254
Buildings and Grounds
Buildings and Grounds assists the pastor and maintenance staff in identifying, prioritizing, and, in some cases, completing various maintenance projects. Members are needed for both discussion and project completion. Contact: Don Reimer in the Parish Office at 937.254.6233 or don.reimer@sthelenparish.org.

Committees with Service to the Parish and Beyond

Health and Wellness
In the spirit of Jesus the healer, the St. Helen Health and Wellness ministry seeks to promote the health of our community by identifying and addressing the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of our community members.
Past and future projects include annual health screenings, a Community Blood Drive, Social events for parishioners over 80, respite care/support for parishioners and caregivers. Contact: Ann Huber 937.903.2186
Respect Life
The Catholic faith is committed to the belief in the sanctity of human life from conception to death. This Committee meets on a quarterly basis, studies the Church's teachings on life-related issues and holds and supports educational and service-related activities which espouse these beliefs.
