St. Helen Fish Fry is coming January 30

1/15/2016

The 2016 St. Helen Booster Club Fish Fry will be held in the school gym on Saturday, January 30, from 6:00-11:00pm. Fish, chicken, and side items like homemade hush puppies will be served until they run out. Pre-sale tickets are $15 ($20 at the door) and include food and beverages. This is much more than just a dinner; the evening includes door prizes, raffles, showdown, blackjack, and more.

Pre-sale tickets are available at The Barber Pole on Spinning Road, the rectory offices (8a-5p Monday through Friday), the school office (7:30a-3:30p Monday-Friday), or by calling Jack Newton at 937-532-3281.

No one under the age of 21 will be admitted to the fish fry. If that doesn't work for your family, but would still like to enjoy some famous St. Helen Fish or take the night off from cooking, carryout is available from 5:30-7:00pm in the East Wing. Price is per item and is cash/check only. There are lots of options that are not fish, so come hungry no matter what your taste.

Epiphany House Blessing

1/4/2016

Some years we hit, and some years we miss.

Our apologies to those who were unable to pick up one of our Epiphany House Blessing kits that were available after masses this past weekend. The good news is that Epiphany has not yet passed, and you can still do the blessing on your own.

This is the same blessing that we provided. All that you need is a piece of chalk (or a pencil will work, too; just change the word in the blessing).

You can find the blessing here.

"Visit, O blessed Lord, this home with the gladness of your presence. Bless all who live or visit here with the gift of your love; and grant that we may manifest your love to each other and to all whose lives we touch. May we grow in grace and in the knowledge and love of you; guide, comfort, and strengthen us in peace, O Jesus Christ, now and forever. Amen"
