PRAYING WITH SCRIPTURE: It is the custom of St. Helen organizations and committees to begin meetings with prayer. The format is to read the Second Reading for the upcoming Sunday and then spend time reflecting on questions provided by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. At the conclusion of our shared discussion, we pray the following: Ever-living God, By reading and reflecting on the Sunday scripture ahead of time, we come to Mass more prepared, we are more aware of the Word when it is proclaimed, and we are able to connect more personally with the insights and challenges Fr. Dave and Fr. Satish offer in their homilies. All parishioners are encouraged to engage in this beneficial practice.
