Other Prayer Opportunities
Centering Prayer:
This is a particular form of prayer which requires participants to be mentored before they enter the Wednesday group. Materials are available to introduce participants to the format, and a mentor will assist.
First Friday Eucharistic Adoration:
On the first Friday of each month, Eucharistic Adoration begins at 10:00 a.m. Throughout the day, parishioners make a holy hour (or any amount of time) to pray in the Blessed Sacrament chapel. The day ends with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 5-6 pm and concludes with Benediction. During lent, adoration is extended with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 6-6:50 pm followed by Stations of the Cross at 7 pm.
Legion of Mary:
Members meet weekly on alternating Mondays and Tuesdays from 1-3 p.m., in the rectory for prayer, planning and discussion. They also do service work such as parishioner visitation, prison ministry, visitation of the sick or aged, and meeting other needs of the parish and wider community.
Men's Group:
Men of the parish meet regularly to enrich their spiritual lives so that their relationships with God, family and community are strengthened. The group gathers for prayer and fellowship from 7:30 am to 9 a.m. in the Smith Building on the second and fourth Saturday of every month unless otherwise posted.
Evensong:
During Advent and Lent the parish quietly concludes the weekend with evening prayer (psalms, singing, scripture, and incense) at 7:00 on Sunday evenings.
Way of the Cross:
Stations of the Cross are prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Fridays during Lent
